We have had to remodel a few bathrooms in our house since we moved in. There were certain bathrooms that took priority like the main bathroom for guest and the children’s bathroom. Our master bath was third on the list. Thankfully we have been able to find some good deals and there hasn’t been too much trouble. There is one bathroom I have been waiting to fix up. It is our utility bathroom, right by the laundry. One bonus feature of the house was this ½ bath. The cut for the sink is deep and perfect for doing those hard cleanings and soaking laundry.

Utility Sink Find

When we moved into our house, the utility bathroom was quite a mess but as it was not a on the top of the list I have just had to make due. This past month was the utility bathroom month. And my focus was the sink. The one we had in there was old, stained all over and leaking. It was time for the sink it to go.

Then came the hard part in deciding what we wanted for the sink. It had to be something deep and material that doesn’t easily stain, but not anything fancy or high-end. This was for the cleaning-up bathroom after all. There are many different brands on the market that I could have chosen from. After narrowing it down I decided to go with an American Standard sink(s).

It took some searching but I found the perfect utility sink. The stainless steel bowl is a large eighteen inches wide but the best part is that it is ten inches deep. When I was looking at it I knew I wanted this sink but I know it wouldn’t fit what we had at the time. After talking to my husband and expressing my excitement and desire for this sink he said we could make it work. The installation was kind of tricky because my husband had to remove our old sink and then cut around the existing hole to make it larger to fit our new sink. He did an excellent job and I am glad we were able to adjust for this particular sink. You can choose to purchase this sink in two available materials; either brushed satin or stainless steel.

I chose the durability of the stainless steel and I am pleased with this choice. I don’t worry when I have such things as paint or grease I need to get of brushes or clothes or hands.I love the depth of this sink! It is large enough to get my cleaning buckets inside when I need to fill them with water and soap. I use it to soak clothes that need to be hand washed or touched up before a wash. And I don’t worry about it being stained afterwards.I am pleasantly surprised by how much I love this sink. I guess I wasn’t expecting it to change the way I do things but I don’t know how I ever lived without it!
