Clean "seat"

With our many projects that we had been doing to make our home better, we went to a lot of home shows and related things to get some ideas.  I was amazed at all the different technologies that were on the market!  One of the things that I found to be amazing was what they called a bidet toilet seat.

Growing up, my parents had a bidet unit off to the side of their toilet in the master bathroom.  Sometimes when my mom was getting ready we would be in her bathroom with her and we thought it was really funny to turn it on and try to spray each other!  Needless to say, after a few times of doing this, my siblings and I were banned from every touching it again, for a while.  When I got older and a little more mature, my mom explained to me how a bidet worked and she said that I could use it sometimes.  It really was a good thing to have since it helped save a little money on toilet paper.

Back in those days, bidets were pretty basic.  It looked like a toilet without a seat and had handles on it that looked like a sink faucet.  There was the option of having hot water or cold water (or a combination-just like a sink faucet with two handles), but that was the extent of the fanciness of the bidet.  I never thought I would see something like the bidet seat.  Even my parents think it is a pretty cool thing!

Bidet seats have many different features and can range from very basic to pretty complex.  The beauty of this product is that it many can be installed on an existing toilet, turning it into a two-in-one toilet/bidet.  The basic bidet seat has a simple remote that turns water on or off so that you can have the benefit of a bidet on your toilet.  Other products come with a lot more options.  For example, some seats come with the option of a seat warmer.  This means during the cold winter months, you don’t have to freeze your “tush” off, literally!  When you sit down, the seat will be nice and toasty warm.

Some models have much more to them.  One type of bidet seat has a sensor detects when you are standing in front of it and will open the toilet seat automatically!  With the touch of a button on the remote you can also close the seat and then it will flush automatically!  The remote also can control the temperature of the water being sprayed from the bidet, the temperature of the seat warmer, the pressure of the water from the bidet unit, and the position of where the water sprays!  The only downside is that some of these seats can be pretty pricey.  Even though we didn’t have the money to buy one when we first started our remodel, after some waiting we were able to find a basic one for a good price!  It has been great!  To learn more, visit: https://www.plumbersstock.com/category/306/washlets-and-bidets/
